Cochise
Gleaners in partnership with Baja Arizona Sustainable Agriculture strives to
rescue fruit and produce in Cochise and surrounding counties.
To
receive the benefit of the program you are asked to volunteer on the gleans or
participate as a donor. Donors receive
1/3 of the harvest, volunteers 1/3 and a local nonprofit 1/3. The exception to the rule:
Mesquite
gleans/milled flour: Donor receives ¼,
volunteers ¼, local nonprofit ¼ and the BASA home office: ¼.
